Summary
The Law was written in stone. The debt is written in blood. After one hundred and twenty years of fire, water, and desert sand, the Prophet Moses climbs the jagged peaks of Mount Nebo for the final time.
Below him lies the Promised Land he is forbidden to enter; behind him, a nation of two million souls waiting for a leader who will not return. But as the breath fades from the man of God, a cosmic trial of staggering proportions begins in the heights. Satan, the Accuser, has come to claim the physical vessel of the Lawgiver.
Armed with a Ledger of Souls and the ancient "Law of the Earth," he argues that Moses’ sins—the blood spilled in Egypt and the pride shown at Meribah—forfeit his body to the Abyss. To the Accuser, Moses is not a hero, but a debt-slave to be paraded as a trophy of human failure. Standing against the encroaching shadow is Michael, the Archangel of Israel. With a sword of white fire and the authority of the Throne, Michael must defend a body that has become a holy relic.
The battle spills from the celestial courtroom into the subterranean deeps of the mountain, through the memories of the ancestors, and into the very hearts of the weeping Israelites below. In a sweeping epic that blends Ancient Near Eastern atmosphere with high-stakes spiritual warfare, The Heights of Nebo explores the thin line between Justice and Mercy. It is the story of a secret burial, an eternal legacy, and the truth that while a man may be made of dust, a servant of the Most High is guarded by the Heavens.
