Extinction was just the beginning.
In this pulse-pounding adventure, a Wyoming game warden encounters something she never thought possible: a real-life saber-tooth tiger.
For two decades, Sam Brodie has never let a poacher get away or come across an animal print she couldn't identify… until she tracks a vicious predator that went extinct in the Ice Age. But when Sam reaches the tiger, she finds herself in the crosshairs of ruthless hunters intent on having no witnesses.
With killers on her tail, she uncovers a chilling plot to clone extinct predators for a barbaric "extreme" hunting experience for the wealthy elite. But these creatures are not simply clones; they're bigger, meaner, and pose an unparalleled danger to the world's ecological balance.
With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Sam and her team must race to stop the mastermind before he unleashes his ultimate creation. Can Sam stop him, or will humanity face its own extinction?
Join the hunt and find out in this wild thriller!

The characters are well written, especially Sam. Mark Angel the villain was voiced quite campily by the narrator but other wise the story was very well narrated as a whole.
The megafauna that are resurrected are unfortunately a secondary focus as the main focus of the story is the crime investigation of a too-well protected billionaire and his deluded goal to save the world by creating organisms to destabilise the world so he can get the credit for saving them. Some twists and turns, two mad scientists get their dose of karma but there’s no full closure for the main villains, clearly leaving room for their fates to be revealed in the sequel.
A good time passer but I much prefer Extinction by Douglas Preston for those who like a more even mixture between police procedural drama and Jurassic park esque sci fi horror.
More of a crime drama theatre happens to involve de-extinct megafauna than a story after Jurassic Park’s heart.
