About this listen

Randidly Ghosthound has liberated his body and regained access to all of his Skills, with the help of Lady Iellaya.

No longer will the officials of High Command be able to use threats to push him constantly into the worst of the fighting.

Yet the war against the Nether Beasts rumbles forward, his emancipation beneath its notice.

With access to all his facilities, Randidly can finally begin to understand the function of the dangerous Nether. As the situation escalates, he will need to use all of his advantages in order to channel this vast and destructive power through his body. Paths will open to him that have been closed since the earliest days of the Nexus.

But while the Nether Hordes are the foes in front of him, a smiling Ileot Swacc begins to spin a web behind...

The esoteric nonsense that is this book killed all my joy for the series and this will unfortunately be the last one in the series for me. I really enjoy the series until the Frontline story, also the bs about him spending PP on some stupid expensive path that basically does nothing, each time he get a bunch of them just makes it boring and points less.

I've read the whole series so far but as from book 7, the concepts being used become more and more esoteric, bordering on impossible to follow.

this confusing magic systm combined with an almost childish dialogue and the infuriating trope of a characters thoughts following on from the narration, make this book and series a difficult read.

It's a shame as I was enjoying the series to begin with but I doubt I will listen to further titles.

Confusingly conceptual

Not only did they manage to pack so much stuff that is irrelevant to the power system but why whenever he uses his fate he starts thinking in riddles for instance during a fight he uses his fate to make a barrier to block a nether herald but the book says some crap about I don’t Even know something about karma and space but I can some what under stand what he was trying to do but only by listening to other characters povs and at the end of the battle there was so much crap going on like I am not Even sure what time line is going on. Anymore and they kept on switching the name of the character that they were fighting and also randomly go on a deep dive into karma I may or may not drop this series tbh the entire time on the frontlines for ether was a drag

Why did the nether frontlines drag out for so long

im a fan of series but this last book really tested me. its almost a book dedicated to a side quest that whilst does some world building was entirely imo redundant. i surpose there may be a pay off in the future but currently the trade was not worth it. i really felt like our mc was a side character in someone elses book.

the whole nether front line simply just dragged
