Summary

Tom is a teenager and blends into the background of life. After a row with his dad and facing an unhappy future at the dog food factory, he escapes to the library. Tom unwittingly ends up with a bagful of romance novels and comes under the suspicion of Maggie.

Maggie is a pensioner and has been happily alone for 10 years, at least that's what she tells herself. When Tom comes to her rescue, a friendship develops that could change her life....

They each set out to prove that the library isn't just about books - it's the heart of their community. Together they discover some things are worth fighting for.

A gentle gorgeous story of relationships, good and bad. All lives threaded together around a village library. Wonderfully read would highly recommend.

I wasn't sure about this Audio book at first. I had listened to the sample several times and didn't download the book. I decided to take a chance because I like Bella Osbourne books. I am really glad I did. I loved the story and came to like the two narrations.

A wonderful, uplifting story

Lovely ,easy, feel good story. I found the voice a bit off-putting - Tom was too thuggish and aggressive.

worth reading

The Library brings forward the power of companionship and how unlikely friends can bring so much to our lives. A healthy dose of book lovers’ joy is explored but more importantly this novel highlights humans and there flaws and ability to love. An absolute stunner of a book!

Sweet and utterly Charming
