Summary

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this story at first as the snooty girls school type narration at the beginning was a bit annoying. But I’m so glad i persevered as the actual story is fab, very funny and Melissa / Honey is a very lovable character who you end up rooting for through the whole book. Will definitely look out for more from this author.

Lovely book, great characters, well developed… the only detail that would have made this better would have been for Melissa to have grown a bigger backbone and managed her father with gusto and aplomb!!

I read this when it first came out - it’s fun and very light hearted. I listened to it in audible and is perfect if you just want to zone out of life or go to sleep. Frankly there are better things to read.
It’s very much of ‘its time’ maybe in 10 years it will be a quaint period piece giving an insight to London life.
