I'll admit I'm not usually one for multi-long-book sagas... the fact I stuck this out probably best reflects how good the story, and vocal storytelling, has been. While not quite as enthralling as the first two books for me, with some slightly grinding pacing in the first half, it provides a generally satisfying ending to the trilogy (there were two character stories I'd have liked to have seen wrapped up in more detail). I felt Priya's character shift in the first part of the book didn't quite gel together for a while for me either, and it nearly lost me for a bit because she was so amazingly defiant before... However I am glad I persevered with the thanks of the continued developments for Sima, Bhumika, Rao, and Malini keeping me hooked, and the ending recovers and restores Priya to her fierce glory. Major spoilers from here on: I had no idea how on earth we could see Malini and Priya's relationship recover after the Oleander Sword, but Malini's rage and yearning are beautifully intense, palpable and allow for a phenomenal but surprisingly believable resolution to that epic sapphic romance.

I don’t think I’d like this as much as I did as the second book wasn’t as good as the first however this one was not predictable. I had so many questions but many were answered towards the end. Very poetic writing and a great story full of morals!
