About this listen

In 1307, as the flames of King Philip IV’s purge consume the Knights Templar, a lone knight flees with a secret that could upend Christendom—a set of scrolls said to bear the words of the Apostles themselves, guided by Mary Magdalene after the death of Jesus. Hidden for centuries, these writings challenge the very foundation of the Church’s authority.

Now, after 700 years, the scrolls have resurfaced, igniting a deadly race between those who would reveal the truth and those who would bury it forever. Monsignor Charles Fitzwilliam, a Vatican scholar bound by faith yet driven by conscience, joins forces with Kimball Hayden, an estranged Vatican Knight, and Isaiah, a loyal Vatican Knight whose faith and duty will be tested to the breaking point.

But powerful enemies move in the shadows—none more dangerous than the Illuminati, masters of manipulation and guardians of a history they intend to control at any cost.

From the catacombs of France to the halls of the Vatican, The Magdalene Scrolls hurtles toward a revelation that could shatter centuries of doctrine . . . or destroy those who dare to uncover it.

The truth has waited two thousand years. Now, the fight for it has begun.

From bestselling author Rick Jones comes the latest installment of the Vatican Knights.

Excellent story ruined for me by the addition of pointless sound effects, they distract from the narrative, I know what gun fire sounds like really don’t need it played over the narration.
And finally running water, really! I had to stop the car for a wee.

Could do without sound effects
