Summary

L.E. Modesitt Jr.'s The Magic of Recluce begins his best-selling fantasy series the Saga of Recluce, which is one of the most popular in contemporary epic fantasy.

Young Lerris yearns to find a place in the world better suited to his skills and temperament. In Recluce this means taking one of two options: permanent exile from Recluce or the dangergeld, a complex, rule-laden wanderjahr in the lands beyond. Many do not survive.

Lerris chooses dangergeld.

Lerris will need magic in the lands beyond, where the power of the Chaos Wizards reigns unchecked, and he must learn to use his powers in an orderly way before his wanderjahr, or fall prey to Chaos.

Performed by Bradley Smith, Andy Brownstein, Carolyn Kashner, Amanda Forstrom, Chris Genebach, Ken Jackson, Richard Rohan, Peter Holdway, Nora Achrati, Steven Carpenter, Michael Glenn, Elizabeth Jernigan, Andy Clemence, Jeff Allin, Marni Penning, Scott McCormick, Evan Casey, Chris Stinson, Eric Messner, Thomas Keegan, Colleen Delany, David Jourdan, Jacob Yeh, Dylan Lynch, Rose Elizabeth Supan, Mort Shelby, Jessica Lauren Ball, Lise Bruneau, Michael John Casey, Terence Aselford, Jonathan Feuer, Matthew Bassett, Tim Getman, Nanette Savard.

I've listened to a number of audio books by Graffic Audio so I will say at this point, I live their performances; howeve, the main character is SO annoying no actor can make him likable. 'I'm bored!' was used so many times i nearly stopped listening, and it's only the production and tge other characters that caused me to continue, So it's a hats off, to Graffic Audio for rescuing this book for me. Sadly I will NOT be listening to any further ones in this series, and it's simply due to the extremely awful main character.

characters extremely annoying
