my mum suggested I listen to this as she has always loved Catherine Cookson and I remember as a child the book shelves full of every book she's ever written. I therefore felt a burden of responsibility on my shoulders to like it.. that pressure soon subsided early on in the 1st chapter and I loved every minute.. I shall revert back to my mum for her next recommendation in the Mallen series!

Another great book by Catherine Cookson and looking forward to the next in series. The narrator has a good voice but maybe not for this book still worth 5 stars tho. Update After listening to Janine narrate the next book I much prefer her narration for this title.
