About this listen

Daydreamer Nora has inherited all of her grandmother's worldly belongings.

Nora dreads seeing her beloved grandmother's possessions go, but she's determined that item by item, memory by memory, she will find the perfect new owners.

When she opens The Memory Shop in the front of her grandmother's house, the community is gradually drawn inside, and Nora begins transforming the lives of those around her through the objects she pairs them with.

"Ella Griffin offers an astonishing insight into people. The writing is exquisite and I cared deeply about the characters." (Marian Keyes on The Flower Arrangement)

This author describes things in a way that you taste, feel, see and hear the words. The concept of the book is beautiful and the way that it's written is beautiful. This story isn't heavy, but trips along with you knowing where you want it to go - but it delivers some lovely outcomes and lifts your heart at the end.

Lovely read about the fact that it's never too late to make peace.

A story of intertwining lives, not too sugary and the more difficult aspects are handled very well. An uplifting tale over all. The narrator did well enough, but the undulating tone of her voice did annoy me from time to time, I’m sure she would make a fabulous hypnotist with that constant gentle rise and fall in a soft Irish accent - it would be a good book to help you fall to sleep!

This story was good lots of interesting characters who come into the Memory shop and go on their own personal journeys.

I took a long time to listen to the whole story but kept being drawn back to find out about the next window, the next customer. Always made me think how small the whole world is really. Glad I got to the end.
