Unexpectedly good. Don't go into it expecting another mother of learning, it's not that. The series has a pretty epic scope without feeling that each book is just another step in powerm Instead they each have a unique twist that feels natural.

I like the concept of the story and some of the characters. However, each level of the loop feels very under explained and rushed. I never got a sense of ohh he's going to use past knowledge to do something clever to get past this level this time.
