Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

The Black Mirror-esque thriller from the author of the million-copy international bestseller THE ONE.

Five strangers guard our secrets. Only four can be trusted...

In the 21st century, information is king. But computers can be hacked and files can be broken into - so a unique government initiative has been born. Five ordinary people have been selected to become Minders - the latest weapon in thwarting cyberterrorism. Transformed by a revolutionary medical procedure, the country's most classified information has been taken offline and turned into genetic code implanted inside their heads.

Together, the five know every secret - the truth behind every government lie, conspiracy theory and cover up. In return, they're given the chance to leave their problems behind and a blank slate to start their lives anew.

But not everyone should be trusted, especially when they each have secrets of their own they'll do anything to protect...

I love Marrs 'black mirror' concepts, but this one just didn't do it for me.

interesting concept

Good story and characters but the narrators audio keeps dimming in places which is disappointing.

Interesting listen

This book has a lot of potential but unfortunately the way its written is very confusing.
Its only when you get to the last 4 hours of the book that you can work out properly what is going on. It still kept me listening until the end though.

Quite a chaotic book

So far in my eyes, John Marrs cannot disappoint. Although not listed with "The One" universe, that is where it takes place so it helps if you have a general idea because "The One" and "The passengers" are heavily referenced

Good!
