The author helps you understand how different processes are occurring in your body and how they relate to the different nutrients, amino acids etc, and how all of this affects or is affected by your energy levels, plus how it all relates to ageing including peri/menopause. It was really interesting to hear what different studies how found about the interplay of these elements, and the resulting effect on, for example, weight loss, and recommendations of kinds of diet to help promote the best health in light of all of this information. I'm glad I already do some of the recommendations and plan to incorporate the others. The author gives a lot of information, so have a pen and paper ready!
