About this listen

The Miracle of Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh, read by John Sackville.

The classic guide to mindful meditation practice from the world-renowned Buddhist monk and Zen master.

In this life-changing book, Buddhist monk and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Thich Nhat Hanh provides the definitive guide on how to practise mindfulness.

Through practical exercises and anecdotes, The Miracle of Mindfulness helps us arrive at greater self-understanding and peacefulness, whether we are beginners or advanced students.

With his signature clarity and warmth, Thich Nhat Hanh shows us that, once we know how to be mindful, we can slow ourselves down and start living in the moment – and that even simple acts like washing the dishes or drinking a cup of tea may be transformed into acts of meditation.

Beautifully written, The Miracle of Mindfulness is the essential guide to welcoming presence in your life and truly living in the moment from the father of mindfulness.

Beautiful book

This book has given me some great tips to live by and I've begun doing the one day a week of mindfulness and feel it's benefits already.
This isn't my first book by Thich Nhat Hanh and didn't find it as impactful as some of his others. But it's lessons are as important nonetheless.

I do find he repeats himself within his books, but I suppose it's to drive the lessons home.

Highly recommend if you're interested in mindfulness.

Peaceful and reflective

I enjoyed this and think Thich Nhat Hanh is wonderful however i found myself getting a bit bored listening to the last couple hours of this audio book. There are some brilliant gems and inspiring nuggets within but in my opinion the presentation of this book is a bit lacklustre when compared to books like Eckhart Tolle’s The Power Of Now and A New Earth.

Enjoyed this but not my favourite Mindfulness book

The first third to half of the book is really good. I am a beginner and found
Lots of great advice and techniques for being mindful in day to day life. But the second half of the book I skipped through. It was disjointed and repetitive with little practical advice. But I would still recommend it as those first chapters are excellent

Worth it for the first few chapters

Gentle but insistent, Thay imparts his timeless wisdom. Big ideas in simple language, beautifully voiced by John Sackville, this is an audio book that I will listen to again and again.
