Summary
From the myths told about Africa’s past to the erasure of Black contributions, The Miseducation of the Black Diaspora uncovers how colonial narratives continue to shape the identity and history of Africa's diaspora worldwide. Drawing on the author's personal experience and global events, the book challenges distorted truths and urges its listeners to reclaim and embrace their heritage as a way of resisting mental colonisation.
The Miseducation of the Black Diaspora by Tawanda Bwerudza exposes racism’s roots, and empowers identity and pride.

Throughout, I felt connected to a smooth flowing account of lived experiences and historic findings. A clear understanding of the troubles faced by many people is also exhibited from start to finish.
Most importantly, this book differs to others as author concludes with some suggestions and next steps for the reader and target audience rather than compiling some theories to no end.
I look forward to more from this Author.
