The BRAND NEW festive, uplifting listen from NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER Beth Moran, perfect for fans of Jill Mansell, Sarah Morgan and Jenny Colgan!
Mary never planned to stop running.
With a past she’s desperate to leave behind and a baby on the way, she’s found a new home, deep in the forest, hidden from the world. But when the time comes to go to the hospital, she has no idea that Beckett, the quiet, steady taxi driver who braves the blizzard to reach her, will change everything.
As Mary adjusts to life with her newborn, she finds herself drawn into a local close-knit community she never expected to be part of. Beckett is always there – dependable, patient and offering a friendship she doesn’t know how to accept but slowly comes to rely on.
In a place she thought she’d only ever be passing through, Mary finally learns what it truly means to belong. And as Christmas approaches, she begins to believe that maybe, just maybe, she doesn’t have to do this alone, and that this could be the start of something wonderful...
Number one bestselling author Beth Moran writes stories packed with heart. Her characters become your immediate friends and you will feel uplifted after the end!

Gradually ( as I 'ploughed-on', the 'comic' incidents became somewhat trite and silly ( an SOH is, I know, a very individual trait), whilst I failed to engage with either the 'young mothers' ( their babies and young children) or the 'Christmas Show' preparations, sadly.
My interest was, most definitely, not peaked...!
I do enjoy 'light' fiction featuring female lead-characters living their relatable 'realistic' lives - with the emphasis on their location, their friendships and 'romantic' interests - but, perhaps, this content was somewhat 'too light' for my taste ( so no adverse reflection on the novel, itself)!
I've listened to hundreds of 'Audible' novels - but, sadly, I was not 'glued' with anticipation to this one. Will 'cut my losses', without finishing this book - am off to 'discover' another...!
Narration was excellent - the story content was less so ( for me)!
