Four strangers arrive. Only one survives. Who will escape?

Five years ago, Jane Patterson survived a horrifying encounter with a serial killer. Now, all she cares about is supporting her young son and getting her life back on track. When she receives an invitation to win a life-changing sum of money, she can’t afford to say no, but the invitation comes with a threat. Whoever sent it knows what happened five years ago …

Jane arrives at the mysterious island off the coast of Wales, but three other people are there waiting for her. Their goals are the same. But there’s a catch. Only one can escape the maze and win. The longer the strangers spend with each other, the more Jane realizes all four of them are not there by chance. They are there for a reason and have more in common than they think.

Can Jane work out the connection before anyone else and escape? Or will the mastermind behind the maze claim all four of them as victims?

The Murder Maze – the addictive high-concept thriller perfect for fans of Claire Douglas, John Marrs and The Traitors.

The Murder Maze is a twisted psychological thriller with plenty of drama and intensity. Told from 5 different viewpoints, each main character is fascinating in their own right. I loved how the author interwove the reveal of their back stories within the current timeline, and we get to see from each of their perspectives. The plot is filled with unexpected moments, dramatic reveals, and so many intricate pieces that all come together as the story moves forward. I loved this mind-bender, and the ending is fantastic! The narrators performed beautifully, bringing each character to life with inflection, emotion, and vibrancy. If you like mystery and intrigue, creativity and complexity, this is a great one!

I listened to this on audible. The story line is full of twists and turns and I did find that if I did not concentrate properly I had to rewind as to keep on track with the story. The author captures the plot chapter by chapter well and the narrators did justice to the author. Murder maze sums up the storyline. You won’t be disappointed.

Captivating

This book was written so well. Very much enjoyed it. One negative is that the female narrators English accent is awful. Mispronouncing common English words.

Brilliant story.

A somewhat decent story but the narration was so dreadful that i couldn’t concentrate. perhaps the printed version would be a better bet.

be prepared for appalling narration….

I'm really starting to get into Jessica Huntley's psychological thrillers now I have read a few and in my opinion, this is her best yet. I would love to sit and have a coffee with her and try to pick her brains as to how her mind works to come up with her weird and wonderful plots. Yet again, just as you think you have worked part of the story out there is yet another twist, throwing your thought process completely off course and this continues, literally, right up until the last paragraph.

The male narrator choice for this book is perfect. He has just the right amount of menace to make your heart beat a little bit faster. However, this is the first time i've said this and I hope to never say it again but, I strongly urge British readers to opt to read this book rather than listen. For me the female narrator's accent let it down. Thankfully, the book is just so good that it didn't put me off listening to the end though.
