Freshly-minted private investigators Simon and Jane are struggling. Their relationship is increasingly tense, and for some reason, no one wants to hire a detection agency run by two graduates of an online course. To raise their spirits, Simon books a weekend at a theatrical murder mystery weekend at an English estate.
But things get off to a bad start. Act One: Simon and Jane are the only ones in costume. Act Two: the ending is spoiled when someone slips a note identifying the culprit under all their doors. But that’s nothing compared to the grand finale: the actor playing the butler mysteriously disappears, less than two weeks after his predecessor died in a freak accident.
