I stumbled across this series about a year ago and now I can’t stop listening. The stories are sheer escapism and are easy listening. The narrator is fabulous, with subtle voice changes to represent the different characters, of which there are many! Unlike sone audiobooks I have listened to he is consistent with the characteristics of each character and they develop throughout the series. There are always small details included which make these books come alive and leave you wanting more. The books are reminiscent of Dorothy Sayer. Would really recommend!

I have enjoyed all of this series of books.
The narrator has a fabulous voice. The books are gentle and about another era, perfect for a bedtime listen. Love the dog and cat and dearly hope they live on in further books to a ripe old age.
