This is a book that lends itself well to audio. It kept my interest, it's fast moving and uses different voices for individual characters. Well worth listening to if you enjoy a suspense thriller.

Dee Dee, the detective is an excellent central character - ascerbic, quirky humour, tough but down to earth. She was beautifully narrated by Emily Janice Card. It was refreshing to have the book read by different narrators - one seemed to become more involved with them in this way. The plot had many possible scenarios but never became "sleazy" with too much detail. I know I will now have to read more by Lisa Gardner.

Whilst you automatically liken the story to Gone Girl, it is much better and has you guessing until the end. Like other Lisa Gardener books, I didn't want to get to the end and have to find another brilliant book ...
