My friend's baby was born a month ago and I had never seen him so nervous. There was almost no friend as a dad now that he can ask for a guide. This audiobook I found was just like a gift from heaven! He said it helps him recognize more signs from his baby's body cues, and there are many practical tips for new dads like him to release the burden of his wife. I'm happy he's enjoying his exciting fatherhood!

Lots of helpful tips for first-time dads

The stereotype of the terrified father of a new baby is more likely to be accurate than most stereotypes. We love our kids, we just worry that we're going to accidentally break them. John Nero does a great job of allaying our fears and building confidence with practical tips and guidance on getting through that joyous/horrifying first year of fatherhood. The one thing that can change the world for the better is more good dads, and this fantastic book will help you to be the best dad you can be for your brand new bundle of joy. The practices and strategies are just as useful for all the new moms out there as well, so I highly recommend buying this as a gift for any new parents, expecting parents, or frustrated parents you know. They will thank you! 5 stars all day.

Lots of good information for new dad's here. It's quite easy for dad's to feel left out as their partner suddenly gives all their attention to someone new, has a seemingly instant bond and just seems to know what to do. Dads can quite easily feel side-lined and not know what they should be doing. This book goes through everything letting us know how we might feel, which is pretty normal and then what we can be doing to interact better with our new borns, how it benefits them, us and our wives and even gives the little cues babies give that we may miss otherwise. Invaluable reading and good information here.
