A notorious family…
The country-house lifestyle of the Carter family may seem picture-perfect, but they aren't what they appear to be.
A man with one goal…
Undercover cop Rob Langton has one aim – to bring the family down.
And his time is running out…
But Rob soon realises the Carters aren't just dangerous criminals. If he can't stop them, the consequences will be explosive.

'Fast-paced and action-packed' Woman & Home December Book of the Month
'Pacy, gripping and tightly plotted, this book works both as a standalone and as a way into Casey’s excellent series' Guardian
'A timely novel, to say the least of it, The Outsider employs the conventions of spy fiction to devastating effect, as Casey skewers nativist populism, the enablers of domestic violence and the arrogant patriarchy of the old boys’ club in an understated thriller that quietly thrums along at a breakneck pace – think Succession with an undercover agent of chaos tossed into the maelstrom and you won’t be too far off the mark … The Outsider is a novel that easily matches the quality of her best work to date' Irish Times

I really enjoyed this tale as we follow events destined to end in trouble. Well paced and totally gripping in part, a neat psychological thriller that kept me listening and I whipped through this title in a couple of sessions. Great storytelling.
Entertaining
