Margaret mayhew writes really good war stories and this one is no exception, only in this one the war is over and Michael harris, the pathfinder who sent down flares lighting a path for the bombers, finds himself in berlin trying to help the berliners in the british sector to survive against all the dirty tricks the russians put in the way. he falls in love with lily a young woman in the russian sector.
well written characters, the kind you get involved with, and situations.
recommended if you like war stories.
