Steve Berry
His protagonist, Cotton Malone, once a member of an elite intelligence division within the Justice Department known as the Magellan Billet, is now retired. But when his former-boss, Stephanie Nelle, asks him to track a rogue North Korean who may have acquired some top secret Treasury Department files - the kind that could bring the United States to its knees. Malone is vaulted into a harrowing twenty-four-hour chase that begins on the water in Venice and ends in the remote highlands of Croatia.
With appearances by Franklin Roosevelt, Andrew Mellon, and a curious painting that still hangs in the National Gallery of Art, Steve Berry's trademark mix of history and suspense is 90% fact and 10% exciting speculation.

Continue the series
Also, I now wince each time I hear "that, he did" or "that, it was" etc, he uses it so often and it just annoys me lol, it's a personal thing but he even has had characters saying it. I don't think I have ever heard someone talk like that in real life.
When he had a a character ask Langdon, sorry I mean Cotton, about his name, it was so out of place, but clearly needed to go in somewhere as in all the books.
All in all though still pretty good and of course a must read if continuing the series. I hope it picks up a bit next book for me.
For me, the weakest thus far in the series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I'd recommend the entire Cotton Malone series. In fact, all of Steve Berry's books are fantastic. Think of a mix of Dan Brown and James Bond, then multiply the thrills, spills and intrigue by a factor of ten! What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Scott Brick really has set himself apart from most other narrators. He is exceptional once again. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I had the time, I'd do the whole series again, back to back...Fantastic....again!
