About this listen

The second three novels in the best-selling Phantom Queen Diaries: Dark and Stormy, Moscow Mule, and Witches Brew.

My name is Quinn MacKenna, and magic doesn’t work on me.

When I’m not getting roped into bar brawls in Boston, I’m usually acquiring - stealing is a form of acquisition, you know - dangerous magical artifacts to turn around and sell them to the highest bidders.

But I prefer to be paid in favors, not money. Because favors are a hot commodity in the Land of the Fae. Favors are the only currency that will buy the answers I seek: Why magic doesn’t work on me, and who my real father is.

Everything was going so well...until I accidentally stole something from a wizard named Nate Temple in St. Louis. That’s the day my life changed forever.

Love Quinn and her take no crap (but with a big heart) attitude. Can’t wait for her Nate & Callie’s stories to collide!

Love her sass

Great continuation to the series. this is my first time reading and listening to this series. Amanda Leigh Cobb reads this book like a pro. I couldn't wish for a better person to voice this character. The story is a great. These Argento authors are really ruining other books for me. written well. a captivating story and each book and author so very unique. a must buy for sure.

I honestly didn't see that coming.

I really enjoyed the series. I started with some of the Nate Temple box sets. And have moved on through some of the other series as well. This series is set in the same world as Nate Temple. The heroin, Quin, is a really good character. I think the narrator has helped with this. it’s really well done.

The authors have been inspiring. I think using traditional favourite fairytale characters from the past woven into the story has been really quite witty and clever.

I get through a lot of audible books. Many of this type of genre. This has been really good because it hasn’t spent too much time on the romance. You get a bit, but not too much. I think some of the other titles of this type, by other authors, can spend too much time on the sex stuff (eg by KF Breene - great story but the rumpy pumpy is a bit gratuitous and OTT). I find myself fast forwarding through these bits. Shane Silvers seems to get this right -Concentrating on the storyline.

Because I go through a lot of books it’s great that they have done these special omnibus versions. I shall wait until they bring out the next three book set.

Try it you’ll like it!

Great story
