I was completely unaware that there are actually eight senses until I came across the book titled "The Pivot for Parents and Educators Looking at Autism and ADHD Through a Different Lens: How Understanding the Neurodivergent Mind Can Change Our Thoughts and Feelings about a Diagnosis." This book has provided me with profound insights and has truly opened my eyes. While I don't personally have children with ADHD or autism, a dear friend of mine does. She has often shared with me the immense difficulties she faces in her life due to her son's condition. Her struggles include maintaining relationships, as men tend to leave her shortly after becoming involved. Reading this book has taught me a great deal about ADHD and autism. The author has done an exceptional job of conveying her personal journey, from the moment she discovered her child's ADHD diagnosis to how she felt and coped with it. This experience ultimately led her to write this book, with the intention of helping others who may be going through similar challenges.

I was always under the impression that we only had 5 senses, but with this audiobook I discovered that we have 8. Who knew? Anyway, I have seen not just parents with children with ADHD but people that have ADHD and as parents, we don’t want to hear the words connected to a disability. I have never liked to call someone with ADHD as having a disability. That is just not how I see someone. My opinion.

Author Kim Gallo has written a very insightful book and the narration of this audiobook is very easy to listen to. Adrian Newcastle is awesome. I thank the author for sharing her journey with ADHD with her child. I know that her intention of this audiobook is to try and help as many people as possible, and I truly believe she is on the right track. Great Job!

This is a good read for parents and educators of Neuro divergent children. It is absolutely packed with useful information. I found chapter three fantastically interesting on three extra senses that are related to the condition and hints and tips to help control the issues that can arise due to these. Chapter 5 is all about words and Language and how to use these constructively and induce good change. Chapter seven on mindset I found useful and you can apply these tips to any situation. I particularly like the analogy of the tennis player/match because it's absolutely true. The book is well narrated and I would recommend those wanting to learn more about the Neurotype
