This book is a very interesting book. It tells the story of four young children, Cyril, Anthea, Robert and Jane, and how they come to find a sand fairy or as it calls its self a Psammead. There wishes start coming true, all thanks to the sand fairy. They also get to meet a Phenoix and a flying carpet. This book is a beautiful depiction of their hilarious adventures with the Psammead, phoenix and flying carpet.
This is a must read story, the only fault is the voice of the narrator, while we find it slightly annoying some may enjoy it. Never the less this is a beautiful piece of art.
