I devoured this in just a few days. I’ve read a lot of memoirs about trying to conceive and infertility and this one really stood out. I just loved the way Jessica told her story with humour and just enough emotion to make you feel fully invested in the outcome of every twist and heartbreaking turn. I thought her performance of reading it was perfect. Dry humour and nothing overplayed. It was really touching to hear the emotion in her voice a couple of times. A heartbreaking but incredible story. Would really recommend to anyone whether you are dealing with infertility or not.

It would be equally valuable for health professionals, friends and families accompanying couples through this minefield. By performing it herself, Jessica Hepburn makes a brutally honest truth compelling. She unfolds the emotional rollercoaster couples experience, the lack of privacy, secrecy, shame, the strain on their relationship and the crippling financial toll. A well written book and easy to listen to despite the sadness because you learn so much!
