About this listen

Goodreads Best Fantasy YA 2020.

The intoxicating and bloodthirsty finale to the New York Times best-selling The Cruel Prince, nominated for the Cilip Carnegie Medal 2019, and New York Times best seller The Wicked King.

After being pronounced Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the Wicked King Cardan, Jude finds herself unmoored, the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak, watching reality television, and doing odd jobs, including squaring up to a cannibalistic faerie.

When her twin sister, Taryn, shows up asking a favour, Jude jumps at the chance to return to the Faerie world, even if it means facing Cardan, whom she loves despite his betrayal. When a dark curse is unveiled, Jude must become the first mortal Queen of Faerie and break the curse or risk upsetting the balance of the whole Faerie world.

Probably one of the best fairy tales I have ever read. Twists and turns that keep you guessing and gasping. Truly capturing the spirit of Faerie in the most magical and disturbing way.

I was shocked at the ending of the last book... and this one doesn't disappoint.

I enjoyed this book overall but felt it a bit rushed and lacked detail like the first two books.. this could have been a lot better.. I’m left feeling a little disappointed and I felt there was some gaps in the story with the other characters.. like the sea queen and the court of shadows ..

Good read although a bit rushed

The Folk of the Air is one of my favourite series and The Queen of Nothing, despite leaving us with a few unanswered questions, wraps it up beautifully.
As to the audiobook - Caitlin does a wonderful job :)

Magical
