I read this years ago and have decided to work my way through the vampire chronicles, as good I remember, I'd forgotten the small poetry pieces from Stan Rice which are very good. I must have a look at his work. really well read. excellent overall.

Excellent.. A little differently wrote from the last two books but excellent all the same, I need a third..

I was on the verge of thinking that this booking starts a little disjointed, but all of its introductory characters really build into a fascinating and thrilling creation myth that builds on and subverts the previous novel. Great performance by Simon Vance who has a lot more characters to try and make stand out vocally but he nails it.
