Samuel Hoenig answers questions for a living. And as a man with Asperger's syndrome, his unique personality helps him ferret out almost any answer there is. But his latest question is a rather odd one: who stole a preserved head from the Garden State Cryonics Institute?

Arriving at the scene of the crime accompanied by his new colleague, Ms. Washburn, Samuel finds that what started out as a theft has escalated to murder. With suspects and motives emerging at a rapid rate, one final question remains: can Samuel's powers of deduction uncover a killer in the face of overwhelming odds?

A great listen, fun, interesting but also has depth and delicacy of understanding of the problems faced by the characters, very much recommend this book.

A curiously funny tale, with well woven Asperger perspective, altogether an very enjoyable audible
Experience, though probably heavily dependant on the
Brilliant narrator.

Enjoyed the twists and turns to this story. The different characters especially the great detective and his look on life and the people who come into his scope makes the story not only interesting but makes you think about the way people act in our present lifestyle. It makes you think and by thinking makes you open your mind to differences around you, that you thought were everyday occurrences.

Great characters and epic storyline

I'm genuinely hooked on the series now. I accidentally listened to them out of order initially, and I found this one (the first in the series) to be not quite as good as the subsequent novels - mostly in terms of the protagonist not being quite as developed which is very understandable - but still very entertaining.

Personally, I think these would be a great comfort read and can see myself coming back to them in the future to re-listen or read.

Overall, they're a very charming read, largely due to the protagonist and his interactions with secondary characters. You might solve them ahead of time, but not from the outset.

In terms of performance, the narrator is superb. Genuinely perfect. This isn't just reading; this is acting and it's an excellent performance. The books seem to be exclusively from the protagonist's point of view, and this performer has really perfected the character and is yet another reason I felt compelled to get the whole series (two were "Included" in my membership and I bought the third soon after because I couldn't even wait from credit day!).

I'm hooked!
