About this listen

When Lauren Stillwell sees her husband with another woman, her perfect world is destroyed. His betrayal turns her into a woman lusting for revenge.

It was supposed to be a way to even the score. But Lauren's one night stand takes a shocking turn, and she witnesses an unbelievable crime. She's left torn between uncovering the truth and her fear that the truth may be unbearable. But either choice could cost her everything - even her life.

This is the best book I've listened to in a very long time. It's like a fast car race, your driving right then suddenly veer left, it doesn't lose it's pace throughout the whole story.

The main character, Lauren sees her husband, Paul, and a glamorous blonde going into an hotel and emerging a few hours later, she assumes that Paul is having an affair. In an act of revenge she embarks on an affair of her own with a work colleague, Scott. ( I don't want to give too much of the story away) however when Scott is found murdered, the story picks up at a breath taking speed.

Just when you think you've finished the jigsaw and can see the whole picture clearly, someone brings you an extra piece.

This is Patterson at his very best, can't recommend it highly enough.

Best book I've listened to in a long, long time.
