About this listen

Math Professor Sophie Knowles becomes involved in the restoration of the campus bell tower, which has been closed for decades, ever since a student died there in a tragic accident. Sophie is curious when history seems to repeat itself - one of her students, Jenn, who was chosen to play the carillon in the new bell tower is beaten and left in a coma. Are students associated with the bell tower cursed? Sophie is determined to get to the bottom of Jenn's tragedy, which may mean digging back in history and finding out what happened 25 years ago.

Math Professor Sophie Knowles has two new mysteries on her mind set 25 years apart. This is a great mystery with plenty of red herrings to keep you engaged. I am enjoying this series immensely .
The narration is good.

I enjoyed this book. This is the fourth book in the series and even though it has been a while between listens, I had no problems catching up with the characters. Although the story does work as a standalone book if you haven't read or heard the rest of the series. I like the characters and the banter between them all. In this book Math Professor and amateur sleuth Sophie Knowles is the only one to believe that two cases that happened 25 years apart are connected, one a suicide and the other an assault. The story is all told from Sophie's perspective, so even though the incidents happened years apart there is no jumping about in the time line and the story flows nicely as she carries out her own investigation. The story was well thought out and with plenty of things happening to keep you guessing and more importantly listening. I hope there is another book to come.

Math Professor Sophie Knowles gets the shocking news that one of her students was attacked on campus. As Sophie and the injured girls classmates rally around her and her family, Sophie learns that the attack was not the first incidence to happen out side the bell tower. A girl committed suicide from the tower and the tower was shut up. Now with the tower about to be reopened, Sophie can't help but believe there is a connection between the two. Can Sophie help the police find the connection and make her students feel safe again? Maybe if a storm and whoever seems to be cyber stalking her gives her time to puzzle it out because Sophie loves nothing better than a puzzle.
I liked the narrator. She has been the voice of Sophie and her friends right from the start and with good reason. If she was a professor I can't see any students falling asleep during her lesson.
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
