About this listen

The final reckoning has arrived.

When the owner of a Scarborough cocktail bar is gunned down during a winter light show, DCI Tom Raven is drawn into a web of intimidation, vengeance, and a chilling connection to his own past.

As a vicious crime family infiltrates Scarborough’s businesses, evidence begins to mount, pointing at Raven himself. Suspended from duty and hunted by his own colleagues, he is forced underground to uncover the truth.

When his daughter Hannah is dragged into danger, the emotionally charged conclusion brings Raven full circle, forcing him to face the consequences of past choices. For Raven, this final case will cost everything – his reputation, his freedom, and possibly his life.

Set on the North Yorkshire coast, the Tom Raven series is perfect for fans of David J Gatward, J M Dalgliesh, Simon McCleave, and British crime fiction.

I started this book with apprehension knowing it was going to be the very last book in this series. OMG what a way to end the series. Raven investigates the shooting of a man in the grounds of Scarborough Castle and it soon become clear that a dangerous crime gang are trying to infiltrate Scarborough. This book has everything. There's danger and there's romance and so much tension as the book charges to it's heart stopping conclusion in Peasholm Park. I have to admit that a few tears were shed at the end of this book, and I even feel emotional writing this review. I will miss Raven and the gang. If the authors are reading this then how about a book following Becca in her new job?
