*DETECTIVE HOLE IS SOON TO BE A MAJOR NETFLIX SERIES*

Harry Hole returns in a pulse-pounding thriller like no other.

'This book had my pulse in the red zone from start to finish' Michael Connelly

A freezing December night.

Christmas shoppers have gathered to listen to a Salvation Army carol concert. Then a shot rings out and one of the singers falls to the floor, dead.

A blood-curdling terror.

Detective Harry Hole and his team are called in to investigate but have little to work with - there is no immediate suspect, no weapon and no motive. But when the assassin discovers he's shot the wrong man, Harry finds his troubles have only just begun.

Now the clock is ticking before he kills again.

'Nesbo is in a class of his own' Evening Standard

'Terrific shocks, tension and atmosphere' The Times

'Even when you're positive that the mystery is entirely done and dusted, it invariably turns out that the pragmatic Detective Harry Hole has managed to stay three steps ahead and there's more to uncover' Time Out

Critic reviews

The Redeemer rocks! Jo Nesbø is my new favorite thriller writer and Harry Hole my new hero. This book had my pulse in the red zone from start to finish. (Michael Connelly)
Nesbo's fourth novel [and it] proves to be as brilliant as his other three...grimly realistic...an engrossing mystery

A really good story, I am becoming very fond of the characters and feel quite gripped by the chain of events.

I am reading this series in order and find that the ones I had previously read are so much better when read in sequence.

I still found some confusion because of all the like sounding names - nevertheless the story is complex, interesting and absorbing.

Sean Barrett is perfect - as ever

One of his best

This started out really well and I was enjoying it a lot, but then the momentum was lost and I am not sure if I will get around to finishing it at all. Good narrator but a little too slow paced for me.

Not his best.

I have now read all of the Jo Nesbo Harry Hula series- admitedly not in the right order. As is always the case good narration and lots of twists and turns. One of Harry's characteristics is his alcoholism. By tge time I got to the end of this, my last in the series, I'd got a little bored with the varients on this theme. Overall not bad - a modern day sherlock holmes perhaps?

Book's redeeming quality

Would you consider the audio edition of The Redeemer: A Harry Hole Thriller, Book 6 to be better than the print version?

I enjoy the audio version because I can do other things as well as listen to the stories.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Silly question the lovely Harry Hole

Which scene did you most enjoy?

When Harry corners the assassin.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When his partner is killed

Any additional comments?

It's a bit long winded and not as good as the other books but worth sticking with.

Revenge
