Summary

Dante has come to the small coastal town of Te Kohe, New Zealand, for a fresh start in life.

But he doesn't want to open a B&B, or save a charming bookshop, or start a romance with a single mother in need of rescuing.

He just wants to forget about his past career (which involved a lot of dead bodies) and have everyone leave him the heck alone. Unfortunately for Dante, life has other plans...

So enjoyable wonderful characters and so well read, highly recommend. For a first time book the author has out done herself.

Fabulous read

Read the book originally and was pleased to see it in audio.
Though the murder is no big mystery the twist and turns of the characters finding the murder and proving it, is what held me.
The three lead characters are likable. Though ghosts are in the story, the plot is not centered around them and they are an interesting addition rather than necessary to the plot.
The narrator is excellent, He has a very expressive voice and his female voice is convincing. I enjoyed listening to him and will look for other work he has done.

Good solid mystery

It's difficult to describe this story without spoilers! It's essentially "cosy" and mainly light-hearted, and involves a psychic, an art thief and a retired assassin confronting a scheming crook. Lots of subtle humour and more twists than a slinky falling down a spiral staircase. Good sense of place and decent characterisations. Excellent narration.
Eagerly awaiting the second in the series.

Eager for book 2!
