What made the experience of listening to The Return of Sherlock Holmes the most enjoyable?

Sitting through the stories and imagining myself sitting at 221B with Holmes and Watson.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Return of Sherlock Holmes?

When Holmes returned and feeling the thrill Watson felt.

What about Derek Jacobi’s performance did you like?

We often think of Holmes as sounding cold and incise. Jacobi just made him sound natural like anyone else.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had to laugh at times when the police got it wrong.

Any additional comments?

We often laugh when the police get it wrong, but they do at times have a point. In the Norwood Builder, Lestrade's arrest of John Hector Macfarlane was quite understandable. Jonas Oldacre had just made Macfarlane his beneficiary, had invited him to his house to finish the job, then Macfarlane left in all innocence and didn't know of his supposed death until the following day.

The Return To Baker Street

It is sad to come to the end having listened through the adventures, memoirs, casebook and return of Sherlock Holmes. Derek Jacobi is so good at reading them I could listen to him all day. Buy it! Buy the lot!

Why didn't he write more...
