I am a fan of Rocky Horror and there is a very good reason why we’ve never heard the show like this, which is that it doesn’t work.

Reading Rocky is like reading Shakespeare…fine but dreadfully dull. O’Brien’s words are a script for performance, not lines for lukewarm prose.

It is great to hear Pat Quinn, Nell & Bazza together again, but they could be reading a pizza menu. Without the music, the laughs and the ensemble, this thing is more flacid than Ralph Hapschatt on his wedding night…this isn’t Rocky Horror.

One from the vaults…which is where is should probably stay.

It’s astounding…and probably not in a good way…
