Summary

There's a murderer on the loose—but that doesn't stop the girls of St. Etheldreda's from attempting to hide the death of their headmistress in this rollicking farce.

The students of St. Etheldreda's School for Girls face a bothersome dilemma. Their irascible headmistress, Mrs. Plackett, and her surly brother, Mr. Godding, have been most inconveniently poisoned at Sunday dinner. Now the school will almost certainly be closed and the girls sent home—unless these seven very proper young ladies can hide the murders and convince their neighbors that nothing is wrong.

Julie Berry's The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place is a smart, hilarious Victorian romp, full of outrageous plot twists, mistaken identities, and mysterious happenings.

Second listen and it’s gets better each time I listen to it.
A must read/listen. So pure.

Another listen another satisfying time

Would you try another book written by Julie Berry or narrated by Jayne Entwistle?

No I bought this book based on the award winning narration of Jayne Entwhistle on the Flavia de Luce books (not available on audible I got them from iTunes).
This reading is not as good, but the real problem is that the girls are constantly referred to by their descriptive such as Pocked Jane and Smooth sally etc. It gets very tiring.

Would you ever listen to anything by Julie Berry again?

Nope

What three words best describe Jayne Entwistle’s voice?

She sounds bored

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Didn't get far enough in to know.

Any additional comments?

Only that the same style of writing seems to have annoyed severel people in the written book reviews also.

irritating
