I really want to finish this, but the narration is so simpering and feeble - it makes Sophie, the main character seem weak and annoying! Will have to read the book instead

I'm a big fan of Cressida Mclaughlin. Her story lines are always great and believable, and this book didn't dissapoint. The only slight negative of her books, and this is a personal preference, is the swear words which Cressida seems to think a necessary part of the readers enjoyment. In my opinion they don't add anything to the books. As I said it's a personal preference. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is a beautiful heartwarming story with a little mystery added. I couldn't stop listening to it and am now looking forward to starting book 2. It is beautifully written and narrated. Highly recommended for a lovely Christmas experience.

I'm sure that if you were to read the book yourself the characters would be interpreted differently, unfortunately, the reading of this is simpering and becomes annoying.
