From Mark Frost, co-creator of the landmark series, The Secret History of Twin Peaks tells the story that millions of fans spent twenty-five years waiting for . . .
The Secret History of Twin Peaks enlarges the world created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, placing the unexplained phenomena that unfolded there into a vastly layered, wide-ranging history.

Another fantastic addition to The Twin Peaks world. Back story for the fans an absolute must. Wonderfully read by the actors and superbly written. 10/10

If you could sum up The Secret History of Twin Peaks in three words, what would they be?
Confusing, Interesting, Messy. It is a dossier of interesting stories, filled with mystery connected only by an FBI Agent identified only as TP and her mission to look through archives assembled by a mystery Archivist known simply as The Archivist. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It is a dossier of interesting stories, filled with mystery connected only by an FBI Agent identified only as TP and her mission to look through archives assembled by a mystery Archivist known simply as The Archivist. It was a bit confusing at first but I had no knowledge as to what it was all about, I only knew of its existence when Season 3 of Twin Peaks had started. The paragraph I used, to sum up, is best known to follow what is going on within the story, as it does feel a bit disconnected and all over the place without knowing what was going and why each new revelation, no matter how small, is added with a footnote by the FBI Agent TP. It is an audiobook that really benefits from reading along while listening, this is not what I had done but when I saw what the book looked like, it all made so much more sense. So, as an Audiobook that is some of its major failings but one of those is also its greatest strength, as the voice acting is, well, absolutely bang on.Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favourite?
Every character was simply audio butter to my ears of toast. <( Errr... What?)Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, as interesting as it was (eventually), there was really nothing spectacular about the book other than to give us more of Twin Peaks and the backstory to what was elaborated on throughout Season Three of the TV Show. Some may say that is good enough but to be honest, there is not a lot of Twin Peaks in there but the stories we did get, the ones that blurred the lines between fiction and some well-documented, real-life events, were good... but they are not what most want the book for. Sure, I understand that it does tie in but that is what I found the most disappointing about it.
Any additional comments?
Frustrating at first and it benefits most with a visual aid to accompany what you are hearing. Solid performances but after listening to it twice, it still feels a bit like a damp squid.I am a fan of Season Three, more than Seasons One and Two of the TV Show, but the audiobook just wasn't what I was after but I did enjoy what I got.I realise you are receiving mixed messages here, lol, but sadly though, that is an honest reflection of my experience with the audiobook. The Secret History of 20% Twin Peaks
