About this listen

Father Kevin Thrall, chaplain to an inner-city parochial school in Washington, D.C., leads a quiet and rewarding life. But to the Vatican, Thrall's past of elite military combat is uniquely suited for a dangerous mission - one directly tied to the mysterious prophecy revealed by the Blessed Virgin to three Portuguese shepherd children. The three Secrets of Fatima were closely held by the Vatican for decades, but many believe that the Vatican withheld important - and possibly dangerous - parts of the Third Secret. Unfolding as both a modern-day spy thriller and a spiritual quest, Father Thrall faces implacable enemies both within and outside of the Church who will test his abilities and his faith. His failure could shake the very foundations of the world.

This story started with such promise but gradually it's essential juices sank into the sands of familiarity. What did we have ...A priest with a record for killing...a plea from the Vatican to solve a problem...a problem prefaced by a touch of thuggery and deception... more mysteries and a goodly amount of religious nonsense. Oh and a touch of frustration borne honourable by our priest who is in love with a woman from his past. I felt like giving up after a while but I had invested good hours in this story but I knew how it would finish. Of course, it ended, in disappointment.
