The narrators voice was pleasant enough however it didn't flow, and was not easy to stay focused to. Sometimes was difficult to decipher which character was speaking. Gave up in the end. Might try another time.

I love Sarah Painter and her stories. I listen to a lot of audio books and this was the worst narrator I’ve ever heard, to the point I nearly stopped listening. She over enunciates to the point of making me want to scream and it lost the flow of dialogue and relationships between the characters. Please feedback you don’t have a pronounce every letter of every word. No one speaks like that. Ever. Please don’t use her again.

Nearly gave up due to narrator

I never felt I wanted to pick this up to see what happened next. It was just okay. The narrator was fairly good except I couldn't tell the difference between the protagonist's voice and that of her love interest. Made it difficult to tell who was saying what sometimes. I haven't listened to the 1st book (Gwen's story) and probably won't bother.

I have loved these books, unfortunately I read them in the wrong order so only critical word would be in the write up it could be advised of the order of listening. I found out on the website too late! but still enjoyed them, I'm now going home listen to Sarah's other books, just the right mix of good characters, magic and story to keep you wanting to listen. characters are easy to like, story lines simple but pleasant. an easy listen. I would recommend if your interested in anything slightly witchy or supernatural/ spiritual. 👌
