"Perry keeps the plot taut, compelling and ringing with verisimilitude." ( Publishers Weekly)
"As always, Perry's measured, literate prose and strict attention to every detail of custom, location, and culture result in pure reading pleasure." ( Library Journal)

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It is far too long and the style of writing is pedantic.

Would you ever listen to anything by Anne Perry again?

Yes, I like Anne Perry but this is, by far, the least enjoyable of her books ... in my opinion.

What three words best describe Davina Porter’s voice?

Appropriate, agreeable and expressive.

Do you think The Sins of the Wolf needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No.

Disappointing

The narration is superb and there is a good little story here within the 16+ hours. The book needed a strong edit, however, as far far too much time is spent describing the feelings of those involved in solving the crime..hours in fact...and far too little time on developing the plot and exploring the 'who done it'. I had to fast forward a great deal, something I never do with audiobooks.

Decent story, Needs a good edit

I really struggled to finish this. I thought it was boring and tedious, repeating the same thoughts and feelings over and over again. I enjoyed the previous books in Monk series, but this was the last for me. The narrator was good.

Tedious

Well written who-dunnit. somewhat in the style of Agatha Christie in that the least likely person is the culprit. There is a thread of recurrent relationships running thru the series that adds interest.

Absolutely brilliant reader
