About this listen

In this steamy contemporary romance about family, unforeseen circumstances, and unexpected love, an ex-military man and a down-on-her-luck woman find more than they bargained for when they find each other.

When Chad Young moves home, it’s not a decision he makes lightly. A former military man, he doesn’t make any decision lightly. But his father’s passing has left the family—and their business—reeling. Now more than ever, they need to stick together.

Britt Starkweather moved to Maine with her boyfriend, never imagining he’d abandon her there. With no money and nowhere to go, she accepts the Youngs’ offer of a job and room on their property. What more does she have to lose?

Although they just met, Chad makes Britt feel safe in a way no one has before. And she makes him feel things he’d given up on finding. But even as they grow closer, Britt realizes that something is amiss at Lobster Cove…and Chad will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

Chad and Britt’s story was great. Their romance was bit of slow, but improved as their story went on. Great pace, sex and action, Fab characters whose. Narrators did a fabulous job bring all the characters to life

Great fun!

It's been a while since I've read a book for this author, but story was a bit predictable, nothing new, didn't really connect with FMC( female narrator isn't my favourite either, so it probably didn't help). Male narrator was amazing, female not so much, I don't know if it's me but I find her voice sometimes robotic and emotions artificial.
But it was an ok book to pass the time. Unfortunately don't think I will continue with the series or the author, it's just not to my taste.

Male narrator stood out for sure!!

This is an excellent book, not only a love story but a mystery too. Lots of descriptive elements that help you feel like you are there with them on the coast of Maine.

I loved the accents

It was really lame. I don’t like the voices, in particular either character putting on female or male voices
