(Review for the series) if you like epic fantasy, something long and intricate that you can sink your teeth into, I can't recommend this series enough. 7 books in and after consuming hundreds of audio books I can say it's one of my favourites. Although most ideas aren't groundbreaking, the world building is great and well thought out. But where it truly shines are the characters, I find almost all completely relatable, believable and likable. Which actually made me care about what happens to them. To cap it off the narration is top notch and average length is 35 - 40 hours, so great value. I emplore you, give it a go.....

It's a slow start, hard to connect the dots on what's going on for a while but it reeled me in about chapter 3 or 5.

Will I'd listen it again, probably, that could affect the score. also btw it's 24 hours not 28hours a little bit off.

Was not sure to begin with as the story was slow to start, but very soon I was completely hooked and could not stop listening. It is well narrated and I can’t wait to get into the next three books.

slow start, but with a promise to improve, it was a slow build up to what turned out to be intriguing tale, I did have some apprehension with how quickly the elder brother lost his way, over a foolish first loves childish praises being bestowed on him.
Aside from that, the story was well delivered and kept me enhanced towards the next chapter. I will happily buy book 2 when it comes out.
