This was a great insight into the spiritual side of yoga. Certain stories were a little complicated and I needed to listen a few times to get the message. However that's probably the point! Hehe. Would recommend as a good listen.

Great overview of history of yoga

I found this book to be quite difficult to follow but having listened to I on audible and the excellent performances of the narrators, I found it much easier to understand and hold my attention.

Excellent performance bringing the story to life

I love the content of this audio book, however I really did not enjoy the way it was presented, by three different presenters who took it in turn to read snippets. I found the constant changes in voice distracting and it definitely detracted from the pleasure I might have received from its contents.

Mixed Feelings

The audiobook version is terrible. It doesn’t state anywhere that it is abridged and has missed out whole chapters of the book - don’t bother. If you want to read this book you’ll have to go for the paperback version!
The reading of what is included is quite disjointed with two different narrators.

Terrible abridged version

This audio version does not follow the book. In fact, it does not include many interesting chapters contained in the actual book. This is most inconvenient when you've been tasked to write an essay based on these various missing chapters, and you only have time to listen to them on the go.
