Summary

He only knows three things about himself: he's polite, he likes tea, and everyone wants to kill him.

Berlin: a man wakes up in a trash can with no idea who he is. He's taken to hospital for treatment. Then people start trying to assassinate him.

The man has to find out why, how to get them to stop, and what the CIA has to do with all this. There's also the little problem of working out who he used to be, and why that changed. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Piper and best friend Lance are trying to find him…

Jonathon Fairfax—still the world's most socially awkward hero—is back. If only he knew.

Genuinely funny, gripping, great characters

I love these books and I'm so glad that Audible suggested them - well written, and, because the characters are so well developed, weirdly plausible. Although this one wasn't quite as funny as the other two, I still had to turn it off on occasions as I walked to or from work to avoid looking like a complete idiot.
I liked that time had gone by in a 'sensible' manner and everything just slotted in without any drama. The new characters were just as great, and I loved that there is a character called Karen who is not branded a 'hideous person' because of her given name - on behalf of all real life Karen's, thank you!
Some of the understated funny bits are the German/English translations - just brilliant!
I have struggled to listen to other books read by this narrator, namely the Vinyl Detective series, as I found he has an odd, stilted way of reading which detracts from the story for me, however in the first two of these books this was not evident. It does begin to creep in here, though, and I missed a few words here and there when my mind became distracted. All personal preference though!

Made me laugh out loud

Storyline keeps you hooked, while the narrator is excellent at so many different characters. The often dry wit gives some proper laugh out loud moments. Didn't disappoint alongside the other two books!

Funny with amazing narration

This episode of the series keeps up the high standard of dry humour and good plot. Don’t often laugh out loud these days but I this did it
