About this listen

My husband has a son I never knew about. Now he’s in our home. And I don’t know if I’m safe.

I thought I had the perfect life. A beautiful home. A handsome, successful husband. He’s a decade older than me, but doesn’t look it.

Then TJ showed up.

He's eighteen, claims to be my husband's son, and needs a place to stay. I didn’t even know Bennett had a child, let alone one so close to my own age. But he’s family, and I have no choice but to let him in.

The next day, a local girl is found dead in our community pool. And guess who’s the prime suspect? TJ.

He insists he’s innocent. Bennett defends him. But something feels off, and I’m starting to question everything — my husband, my stepson . . . even myself.

Can I trust the people I love? Or is the nightmare just beginning?

Please note this book was previously published as My Husband’s Son.

This absolutely addictive psychological thriller packed full of twists is perfect for fans of Daniel Hurst, Freida McFadden, Valerie Keogh and Cole Baxter.

Unchallenging ,simple to follow and yet also mildly irritating ,the repetition of "my husband"ad nauseam does grate after a while. Also main protagonist and her entitlement is not exactly likeable.Undemanding listens are also needed so it will find a place in your library.

Fine for casual listening

.. this is the one for you. Probably better for teens than adults. It's unrealistic, cringey, and honestly written for what seems to be airheads.

If you're 14/never read a crime novel before/butterflies and rainbows, this might be right up your street. Seasoned readers/listeners would be better to steer clear lest you lose teeth due to the saccharine plotline.

if you want a saccharine sweet crime novel..
