About this listen

This highly anticipated follow-up to The Will of the Many—one of 2023’s most lauded and best-selling fantasy novels—follows Vis as he grapples with a dangerous secret that could unravel history across alternate dimensions.

Omne trium perfectum

The Hierarchy still call me Vis Telimus. Still hail me as Catenicus. They still, as one, believe they know who I am.

But with all that has happened—with what I fear is coming—I am not sure it matters anymore.

I am no longer one. I won the Iudicium and lost everything—and now, impossibly, the ancient device beyond the Labyrinth has replicated me across three separate worlds. A different version of myself in each of Obiteum, Luceum, and Res. Three different bodies, three different lives. I have to hide; fight; play politics. I have to train; trust; lie. I have to kill; heal; prove myself again, and again, and again.

I am loved, and hated, and entirely alone.

Above all, though, I need to find answers before it’s too late. To understand the nature of what has happened to me and why.

I need to find a way to stop the coming Cataclysm, because if all I have learned is true, I may be the only one who can.

Loved the expansion of the world in this book and the higher stakes for the main character.

Enjoyed this so much

Worth sequel to book one. This was a very ambitious idea for a single novel with three concurrent POVs of the same character, and I’m not sure it quite succeeded in all respects; the nature of the narrative is such that pacing and depth was an issue. Ideally this book would have been longer in order to do full justice to the three stories, which are only loosely interlinked. That said, I ate it up and absolutely loved it overall, cannot wait for the next book. The performance was fantastic also.

Fantastic - some flaws but not insurmountable

Honestly this story is simply gripping, it has me by the gonads and will not let go.

There are great characters. high stakes, amazing world depth and it has everything you need to keep you completely addicted! I was on the edge of my seat and just builds and builds and builds.

The book went in directions I was not expecting that slightly threw me but not in an unenjoyable way.

Definitely picking up book 3

Euan Morton is sensational

Much better than the first. The stupidity of the main character in book 1 is almost entirely gone, leaving good plot, good twists, good progress, and good promises for more to come.

It's slowly coming to life. Growing into the epic that was promised. If you've come this far, get this one too. it's over 30 hours, so a bargain really.

Great narration too.

Book one, complex as it is, is nothing compared to this!

If you like your mind split 3 ways, this is the book for you.

So many characters, so many places, so much detail.

Such theoretical understanding of a make believe world with it's powers, politics and people. How do people make this stuff up!!!

Well worth a listen....don't loose concentration!!

Mind Blowing Complexity
